Phrasal Verbs courants

Un phrasal verb est un verbe + une particule (préposition/adverbe) qui change le sens du verbe.

Ils sont très courants en anglais courant et professionnel :

- look into = examiner, enquêter

- come up with = trouver (une idée)

- put off = reporter

- turn down = refuser

- carry out = réaliser, exécuter

- figure out = comprendre

- run out of = manquer de

- bring up = soulever (un sujet)

• I'll look into the problem. — Je vais examiner le problème.
• We need to come up with a solution. — Nous devons trouver une solution.
• They put off the meeting. — Ils ont reporté la réunion.
• She turned down the offer. — Elle a refusé l'offre.
